Windows installation

Create an account

1

Install DirectX 9

Install DirectX 9, even if Windows already has a newer DirectX version.
2

Prepare your RoF2 installation

Make a copy of a fresh RoF2 installation for Dalaya. The Dalaya website and patcher do not supply these client files. Keep the Dalaya copy outside your Desktop and Program Files folders; we recommend C:\Dalaya.
3

Create your account

Open the account creation page and register a login. Existing EQEmu accounts are also supported.
4

Download the Dalaya patcher

Download the Dalaya patcher. This download contains Dalaya's patching software only; it does not include or provide the EverQuest or RoF2 client.
5

Patch and run

Point the patcher to your existing Dalaya client folder, such as C:\Dalaya, then select Patch and Run. Do not run the official EverQuest launcher against this copy.
